S.C. Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP) Class

This state-mandated class will qualify attendees for a S.C. Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP). The course covers the legal aspects of carrying a firearm and the laws governing the use of lethal force, as well as safety, firearms and ammunition options. A written and shooting test will follow the class session.

The cost of this class also includes fingerprinting and certified letter postage to mail the application to SLED. Plus, students receive a FREE 30-Day Range Pass (offer does not include rentals, ammo, or targets).

PLEASE NOTE: Class fees are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, a request must be sent by email three days prior to your class date.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Handgun with at least 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, and a valid South Carolina Driver License with current address. A firearm and eye/ear protection can be provided free of charge for course use if needed (use of City Arsenal firearms requires the purchase of in-store ammunition).

PREREQUISITES:

None. However, students may find Personal Instruction or the Intro to Handgun course beneficial in preparing for the CWP course.
